Its been ten years since the great onslaught that swept through the land. Thousands of people were struck down by the savage attack of a force previously unknown. Everyone, including the armed forces, seemed unable to end the siege that held the country hostage. Finally, as the situation became desperate and faced with total annihilation, the tide turned with a timely discovery by a group of brilliant scientists. The scientists injected the virus into a few captured species and set them free. The infected quickly spread the disease throughout the entire population. After a couple of days, their ranks were decimated, effectively ending their assault. Only a handful of the once mighty force remained. These few fled and were not seen again. Everything had returned to normal. At least, that is how it seemed..........
